This dream pushed her to study journalism and communications at university and had worked in that industry for over three years.
One day, she realized that traditional journalism is a slowly dying industry and decided to change her career path. She took a break from her career where she spent many sunny days in Melbourne, Australia immersing herself in art, coffee, and Australian wildlife. In 2018, she went back to Canada and completed her graduate diploma in Public Relations and Communications Management from McGill University.
She knew that her love of storytelling would never go away and is now helping tell the story of nonprofits by creating social media content and writing communications plans to reach and engage their audience. The journalism skills she developed through the years and her passion for storytelling are still applicable to her current position as a Marketing and Communications Specialist for LEMAC.
